Once upon a time, in my silly childhood days, my father and I were on the way to the east for Christmas. It was a long ride, and all the way he kept blasting this gem of an album by Gentleman Mike Ejeagha. I did not understand the lyrics and I did not appreciate the song either, so when he stepped out of the car for a break, I took off my earring and scratched the CD. That was bratty of me. Who would know that I’ll end up becoming one of his biggest fans once I learned Igbo?
