Once upon a time, the heir of a shogun fell in love with a servant girl. To assure her of his heart, he sealed his heart to hers with a blood vow. Their love seemed destined, Fate herself stood on their side. Yet the forces against them proved stronger. The maid, weary from the suffering love had brought, prayed to the god of Free Will to spare her from ever loving the heir again.
